When to Get a Replacement
The decision to repair or replace a roof can depend on a lot of factors.  Often, if the damage is extensive or if the roof is at the end of its lifespan, it makes more sense long-term to get a replacement. However, that’s not always the case.   At Father's Approval Roofing & Exterior, we will work with you to assess all your options, looking at your budget, insurance coverage (if applicable) your materials and what needs to be repaired. Assessing the Damage
When it comes to roof repairs, there are three categories of damage, minor, moderate and major. 

• Minor Damage
  A few torn or missing shingles are a fairly easy fix that and is definitely less costly
  
  
• Moderate Damage
  If the damage is more extensive but limited to one area or side of your roof, partial reroofing can be a viable option. This approach is often less expensive than a complete reroofing project and effectively addresses significant damage.
  
  
• Major Damage
  A roof is considered to have major damage when the majority of the roof footprint is affected. At this point, it makes more financial sense to get a total roof replacement rather than fixing only the damaged portions.
